Following the old cement water channel from the village of Kavousi you reach Mesona gorge. It is distinguished for its impressive route-with a path literally hanging from the side of the mountain. The route is a unique experience that can be combined with a visit to the Archaic and Minoan settlements of Azoria and Kastro.
It starts from Agios Ioannis village and goes all the way to Kakia Skala beach, before Ferma. The impressive waterfall, with water dropping from 40 meters charms even the most demanding visitor. The best time to visit is in the spring or in the beginning of summer.
It starts from the village Orino and ends up in the green forest of Koutsouras by the sea. It has a very attractive route full of creeks, small waterfalls and red butterflies that pop out from the flowers.
